Community science is scientific research conducted primarily by amateur scientists. It's an excellent way to link classroom education with real-world issues, while building useful technical skills.

Journey North is designed for classrooms to track migrations and seasons over time, and share their observations with other classrooms through their online portal. You can report sightings, view maps, and find current migration information on a variety of migrating animals (american robins, common loons, frogs, monarch butterflies, and more).

The GLOBE Program is a citizen science partnership with NASA that focuses on earth sciences. While the Observer program is focused on individual observers, the GLOBE Program looks to educators and students and will even provide training!
